OutCare Foundation Leadership

Bernie Forestell, Vice Chair

Bernie Forestell is a business development professional who helps others achieve their personal and professional goals by listening and offering solutions.
Bernie learned the value of commitment to customer service many years ago through his mentor, Leonard Lee, founder of Lee Valley Tools. He transferred those skills to a successful career in sales and direct mail.

Bernie founded his direct marketing agency, Forecast Response Inc, where he worked for a wide range of businesses and not for profits, creating effective direct marketing campaigns across Canada.

The Queensway Carleton Hospital Foundation hired Bernie for three years to help close out their first $17 million fundraising campaign. Bernie then went on to work at Bruyère Hospital Foundation as VP, Philanthropy.

Bernie also helped BioTalent Canada transition toward a self-funded organization. He is currently the Director of Partnerships at Consumer Health Products Canada. He also sits on the Board of the Mobile Giving Foundation of Canada.

Bernie saw the importance of palliative care first-hand at Bruyère where he worked closely with physicians, nurses, administrators, patients and families. Bernie joined the OutCare Foundation board in October 2018 to help raise awareness and funding for families in Eastern Ontario who will benefit from a vibrant and healthy palliative care system. He was elected Vice Chair in 2019.
