OutCare Foundation Leadership
Dr. Ian Warrack, Director

Dr. Ian Warrack is a retired family physician who practiced in Canada for 49 years.
As a physician who provided palliative care in a variety of non-hospital settings until his retirement in 2017, Dr. Warrack is aware of the importance of the OutCare Foundation’s priorities. With a wealth of professional and fundraising experience, in 2012 he joined the Board of Directors to help the Foundation make a difference in palliative care in our community. He strongly believes that quality palliative care should be available in whichever setting the patient wishes and that he can help to achieve that through his involvement with the OutCare Foundation.
He is past member of the Board of Trustees of the Canadian Medical Foundation, past President of the Ontario Medical Association, past Chair of the Boards of both the Canadian Medical Association and the Canadian Medical Association Holdings, and past President of the Rotary Club of Ottawa South. He was also Chair for the 1986 Campaign of the Ottawa-Carleton United Way, and Fundraising Chair for Rotel, a 50-room motel that serves all Ottawa hospitals and medical facilities. Dr. Warrack is a recipient of the Ontario Medal for Good Citizenship and is a graduate of the University of Aberdeen.
