OutCare Foundation Leadership

Linda McCallum, Past Chair

Linda McCallum has been a REALTOR® for over 40 years, 25 of those in Ottawa. She believes in volunteering and has volunteered in one capacity or another for the past three decades for local associations, Parish Council, and Girl Guides. Linda is currently the Director for Eastern Ontario on the Ontario Real Estate Association board of directors.

Linda’s philosophy on being a REALTOR® is that it is a privilege. She is invited into peoples’ homes and often is introduced to their parents, siblings, children and grandparents, whom she often ends up representing as well. She has attended the weddings, christenings, celebrations, wakes and funerals of many past clients. Today in her business, she represents many families facing end of life issues and the challenges of dealing with elderly parents.

She too has faced the challenges of dealing with loss. At the age of 39 she became the caregiver to her late husband, her mother and her best friend as they fought unsuccessfully and valiantly to win their battles with cancer. She took instructions on palliative care and read everything she could get her hands on about end of life care in order to assist them with their final journeys. A few years ago when her father was nearing the end of his battle with cancer and Alzheimer’s she realized that things had not improved enough for end of life care in the past 25 years. As a member of the Women Living Fully group, Linda sees more and more that end of life issues are prevalent everywhere in our region/province/country.

Today Linda is married to a wonderful man, Glen, and is the proud mother of two grown daughters, Carrie and Heather, and grandmother to six. She loves to golf (when time permits), enjoys walking their little dog “Maggie the Pug” and travelling.

Linda joined OutCare's Board in 2016 and was elected Chair in 2019.
